En 2005, Frank Chatona et Florian Pellissier montent Cotonete avec le rêve à peine secret d’aller jouer du funk 70’s au Brésil. Ils enchainent nombre concerts, notamment au New Morning et au Duc des Lombards, enregistrent le second album (CAJA/Prado Records) de la chanteuse Simone Mazzer, révélation brésilienne de l’année 2015, sortent 3 maxis 33T en 2017 (incluant des remixes de Phil Asher ou Hugo LX) et un disque produit avec leur ami Dimitri From Paris dont un des titres « Parribean Disco » s’impose en tant que hit dancefloor sur l’été 2018.
Ils finissent par sortir leur premier album «Super-Vilains » sous l’égide de Melik Bencheikh (Heartbeat Vinyl/Heavenly Sweetness) en février 2019. Au même printemps, Cotonete sort un album avec le célèbre chanteur brésilien Di Melo (Favorite Recordings) dont le titre phare A.E.I.O.U a déjà fait le tour des festivals et bonnes radios !

In 2005, Frank Chatona and Florian Pellissier founded Cotonete with the hardly secret dream of bringing a funky 70’s repertoire to Brazil. They start a series of concerts including the Jazzmix in Vienne (2015), New Morning and Duc des Lombards (Paris), Dingwalls (London). They’ve recorded brazilian singer Simone Mazzer’s second album (CAJA/Prado Records), released 3 maxis 33T in 2017 (including Phil Asher, Hugo LX, DJ Deep remixes) and produced a track with their friend Dimitri From Paris whose track «Parribean Disco» has been played in all clubs & festivals during summer 2018 and sets the band as THE french jazz funk reference
They finally release their first album « Super-Vilains » thanks to their producteur and vinyl lover Melik Bencheikh (Heartbeat Vinyl/Heavenly Sweetness) in february 2019. 3 months later, Cotonete released a second album with the famous brazilian singer Di Melo (Favorite Recordings) on which the main track A.E.I.O.U is played all over the world by most famousDjs (Gilles Petterson, Sadar Bahar, Folamour…).
